New Album and a HBO Series for Foo Fighters on their 20th Anniversary

The Foo Fighters have confirmed that they will release a new album by the end of 2014. This would be the 8th album of the American band and is going to be preceded by an HBO series presenting the recording sessions of the Foo Fighters.

The show was directed by Dave Grohl, the band’s lead singer, and it captures various scenes from the group’s recordings of the eight songs on the album. They recorded in cities like New York, Chicago, Austin, Washington, D.C, Nashville, New Orleans, Seattle and Los Angeles.

The objective of the series and the album is to present the unique identity and personality of each city, revealing how important every one of these regions was for the formation of the musicians. In the end, the series shows what the band has offered in return to their hometowns and how they tied their common bond.

The series will start off the day before the 20th anniversary of the band.
